José is a Cuban-American who has been in the states for over 40 years. He and his wife, Flora, who is also Cuban-American, have made North Carolina their home as they have raised their four sons.

His business career spans working for Dow Chemical and Westinghouse in various senior management positions to the last several years as an entrepreneur extraordinaire as he has built his Hispanic media conglomerate.
